She came to Lynk seeking vengeance. She found the truth-and it might destroy her. Sabine's hunt for her sister's killer forces her into the hands of her own kidnapper. Trusting him may be the only way to survive, but every stolen glance and lingering touch makes her wonder if survival is all she wants. Together, they escape into Avoni, a kingdom of rival assassin guilds where loyalty is bought in blood and danger waits in every corner. The farther they run, the closer they become, until Sabine can no longer tell where the lies end and the longing begins. Back in the palace above the clouds, King Rainer tightens his grip on a deadly political game decades in the making. But he underestimates the woman he married. The pawn has become the queen, and Sabine will risk everything to win-because in this game, losing means her life, her heart, and her kingdom.
