Lonnie Larson was born in 1959. He grew up in the small town of Kellogg, Minnesota. Lonnie graduated from Wabasha-Kellogg High School in 1977 and went to work for a small sawmill. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 1984, at the age of 25, to better provide for his family. He did his basic training at M.C.R.D. San Diego, California. He was trained in avionics at N.A.S. Millington, Tennessee and then went to work on T-AV8A/AV8B, ("Hawker Harrier Jump Jets") as a Weapons Systems Specialist for the United States Marine Corps at M.C.A.S. Cherry Point, North Carolina. After Lonnie was Honorably discharged from the United States Marine Corps he went back to work in Kellogg, Minnesota. Lonnie is active in his community and in 1990 he became a Volunteer Fire Fighter, (21 years) and First Responder, (27 years) for the small city of Kellogg. He has held the title of Mayor of Kellogg. Has been a member of the Planning/Zoning Commission, (over 24 years). He is a member of the American Legion for 25 years and continuing, he has held the position of Post Commander, (4 years), at the Kellogg American Legion Post as well. Lonnie started writing after he left the United States Marine Corps in 1987 as a hobby and then self published "REUNITED" in 2011; re-published it in 2020 along with a follow-up book, "The League of United Planets" at that time.
