A man of faith, a man of God and of eternal conviction, a true mercedary, he leaves us all an invaluable legacy. Always energetic and dynamic, he incarnated the mission with great eagerness to redeem the suffering and excluded people of the extreme south of Piauí, through dedication and service as a missionary of Jesus Christ. In the diocese he worked as rector of the seminary Father Zumel when the then bishop was Bishop José Vázquez Díaz, he was a teacher at the Odilon Parente Gymnasium in the diocese of Bom Jesus known as Father Carrozas. Dom Ramón went through very hard trials, to create new clergy, fully native, leaving all the municipalities of the diocese, with a priest, parish house, pastoral community center. He found the diocese with six priests and left it with more than 25. He had a deep devotion to Our Lady of Mercy.
