Antoine de Saint-Exupéry (Lyon, 1900 ? Mar Tirreno, 1944). Novelista y aviador francés; sus experiencias como piloto fueron a menudo fuente de inspiración. Tercero de cinco hijos de una familia aristocrática (su padre ostentaba el título de vizconde), Antoine de Saint-Exupéry disfrutó de una infancia feliz en las fincas familiares, aunque perdió a su padre cuando tenía cuatro años. Mantuvo una estrecha relación con su madre, cuya sensibilidad y cultura le marcaron profundamente, y con la que mantuvo una voluminosa correspondencia durante toda su vida.
