Globalisation is a complex phenomenon. In theinternational management literature, the logic ofglobalisation is viewed as a conscious and systematicinfluence, enabled by national (macro level) reformmeasures that compel organisations (meso level) toundergo continuous change in policies, procedures, systems and processes. In turn, the organisationalreform initiatives challenge managers (micro level)to develop skills and competencies that lead to thecultivation and development of a global mindset, which potentially, allows managers to functioneffectively and efficiently in the dynamic globalbusiness environment. The research study presented inthis book develops a macro-meso-micro logic ofglobalisation framework and using a pluralistmethodology, empirically tests the developedframework in the vast, burgeoning and strategicallyimportant Indian and Chinese services industry. Thefindings highlight some converging and divergingpatterns in the various reform measures andinitiatives across the three levels in the twoemerging economies, and have theoretical andpractical implications for academics, practitionersand business students.
