The Longing that Leads to Love is a collection of original poems about the journey from suffering and heartache to understanding, strength, tenacity, and love in all its forms - love for yourself, love for others, love for the lessons, and even love for the difficult times that helped you become who you are. It is a story about the hurts that have been forced upon us and the mistakes we ourselves have made, and finding the light through every one of those traumas in our determined journey to become better, to become stronger, to give ourselves the love that maybe we were denied by others. It's a story that reminds us that even if we don't have all the kinds of love we want in our lives, the kinds we do have are just as vital and beautiful. This collection is for anyone who has ever felt lost or alone or wounded. But more importantly, it's a collection for people who want to feel seen, who want to know that they are not alone, who want to grow and feel supported and give themselves all the things they've been understandably seeking from others. Because the love you can give yourself is the strongest kind of love there is, and the kind we all deserve. Written with heart and grit, each poem is another step in the journey that leads from all the forms of longing in our lives to all the forms of love we wish to and can achieve. It's a collection that moves from darkness to the light, from pain to empowerment, and one that will be there for you in every step of your journey. This collection makes a perfect gift for:Women and men of all ages Women in search of comfort and healing Anyone who may feel alone and want support in their healing journey A gift to yourself for self-love, self-acceptance, and healing Adding to your beautiful book collection Gift givers in search of unique and meaningful gifts for a loved one or friend Galentine's Day gift Birthday gift Valentine's Day, Christmas, and any other special occasion gift
Autorenporträt
Jennie started writing at the age of three, if you can count making pencil marks and squiggles on construction paper and then "reading" the imaginary story to her mom as writing. Diving into short stories and angsty (read: "bad") poetry as a young teen when she should have been paying attention in class, she discovered the joy of creating with words. And from that moment on, writing in one form or another became a creative joy and passionate pursuit in her daily life, though it took her well over ten years to realize she wanted to build a career around her passion for writing and storytelling. So, a bit of a rocky start, but everyone has their journey. A romantic to her core and inspired by the poetry of Walt Whitman, Robert Frost, and Emily Dickinson, and anyone who ever wrote or painted the beauty of landscapes, her ultimate happiness comes from the creative process of writing and sharing stories in poetic form with others. And when she's not writing, she's usually watching Parks and Rec or diving into a romantasy novel with a badass heroine and dreamy love story. Or making a little sweet treat.
