George Eliot (1819-1880) was one of the leading novelists of the Victorian era, most famous for Silas Marner, The Mill on the Floss and Middlemarch. Geoffrey Beevers is an award-winning actor, writer and director. He has worked extensively at the Orange Tree Theatre in Richmond which has staged his previous adaptations of George Eliot's Adam Bede and Balzac's Père Goriot.
