Many assume pastors must be social influencers, movement leaders, truth-tellers, church administrators, cultural commentators, public entertainers, or religious scholars. Some even expect them to be all these things, all at once, all the time! Cutting through the confusion, Charles Jefferson invites pastors back to the heart of their biblical calling: to lead, feed, and protect the flock entrusted to their care. A pastor is, above all, a shepherd-following the Good Shepherd and laying down their life for Christ's sheep. Originally published over a century ago, The Minister as Shepherd continues to offer timeless, soul-shaping wisdom-one pastor speaking to another, across generations.
