Kayla is an award-winning oil painter and author living in Wicklow,Ireland, where the rugged landscapes and vibrant culture provide an authentic backdrop for her debut novel. A lifelong reader of romance fantasy, Kayla has been writing stories since she was given her first computer, spending weekends huddled in her room, writing page after page of new worlds. Now that she's slightly older (sigh), Kayla draws on her diverse interests and experiences to create authentic, unforgettable characters, and her artist's eye helps her craft vivid, atmospheric scenes.Kayla has always been drawn to stories of soulmates and romance, and her own love story began in Florence, Italy, where she met her now-husband during one very interesting vacation (perhaps, eventually, there'll be a book on that too!). Outside of writing, Kayla enjoys painting, playing the piano, and walking her dog, Storm, through Wicklow's beautiful forest trails, where she received much of her inspiration for The Minor Fall. This is Kayla's first novel, but it won't be her last.
