Autorenporträt
RABBI JOEL E. SOFFIN is a nationally known Reform Rabbi. His unique approach to interpersonal relations, congregational life and social action is admired by laypeople, Rabbinic colleagues, and activists around the world. He served as the Rabbi of Temple Shalom in Succasunna, NJ, for twenty-seven years. He created and is President of the Jewish Helping Hands Foundation ( JHH), which focuses solely on social action work. Since retiring, Soffin has served as Sabbatical Rabbi in several congregations and, for the last fifteen years, as Torah and Talmud teacher. The recipient of several Fain awards, Soffin has been a popular Scholar-in-Residence in various congregations and a resource to Social Action Committees worldwide.
