Catherine Vance was born in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. She holds an MFA in creative writing (fiction) from Washington University in St. Louis and was a recipient of the Dobie Paisano Award from the Texas Institute of Letters. She now lives in Houston, Texas, where she teaches creative writing for Writespace Houston and has recently completed training to be an interfaith chaplain.In her time off, Catherine can be found dancing in her car or expanding her knowledge of Spanish or Arabic.
