This book is about a new perturbation method developed by myself and co-workers in the recent decades. The new perturbation method is called the Multiple Scales Lindstedt Poincare method. The book is a summary of research papers published in the international refereed journals. Produktbeschreibung
This book is about a new perturbation method developed by myself and co-workers in the recent decades. The new perturbation method is called the Multiple Scales Lindstedt Poincare method. The book is a summary of research papers published in the international refereed journals. Classical perturbation methods such as Multiple Scales and Lindstedt Poincare Method all have the deficiency of being valid for small perturbation parameters and hence they are valid for weakly nonlinear systems. The new method is a combination of Multiple Scales and Lindstedt-Poincare methods incorporating a special frequency transformation. It is shown in the book that the new method produces admissible solutions for arbitrarily large perturbation parameters and hence analytical solutions of strongly nonlinear vibration problems are possible using this method.
