B.J.C. McKERCHER is an associate professor in the Department of History, Royal Military College, Kingston, Ontario. He is author of The Second Baldwin Government and the United States, 1924-1929 and Transition: Britain’s Loss of Global Preeminence to the United States, 1930-1945. LAWRENCE ARONSEN is an associate professor in the Department of History, University of Alberta. He is co-author, with Martin Kitchen, of The Origins of Cold War in Comparative Perspective.
