Numerous scholarly observations on the system of proper nouns in Bunin's narratives point to the need for a focused and generalized study of the noun system in the writer's work, not only from a linguistic point of view, but also with a view to accessing the layered depths of the author's poetics, shaped by his historiosophical, religious, literary, aesthetic and socio-political views. As a result of the work carried out, conclusions were drawn to the effect that a proper noun in Bunin's prose is capable, on the one hand, of somehow attracting and combining formal and substantial intra-textual elements of a literary text, thus creating new content, and on the other, it opens up access to the wider cultural field, saturating the author's text with intertexts, thus generating new meanings.
