After her sister is murdered, she becomes obsessed with destroying the sovereign dragons that were responsible for her sister's death. Her newfound obsession with revenge takes her through a series of deadly trials and salacious investigations. She finds herself reluctantly accepting the friendship of those she sought only to use to her advantage and falling in love with a mysterious man named Cyrilian Cligoni who is oddly willing to hide a body for her. Ultimately she must face the judgement of the dragons and the punishment that comes with interfering with their plans.

Writing under the pen name J.W. Gilberts, Julianna Waugh is a passionate Compensation Specialist for a large corporation by day but spends her lunch breaks and evenings writing vibrant worlds, yearning romances, and found families that can be great strengths or vital weaknesses. She is a part of the St. Charles writers group and is currently seeking to publish her debut novel The Potentilla Heart. She has written a formal research thesis with Professor David Sinason at Northern Illinois University on the issue of frauds invading charities, which was unpublished but presented in the NIU's Conference on Undergraduate Research. While she will always appreciate the skills her formal research provided, her heart will always belong to fantastical worlds.
