Far away from ones homeland, learning a new language and life in another country can enhance appreciation for unexpected discoveries. This is the case of Celia Latz who left Indiana to study painting in Italy, but instead turned to writing fulltime. She uses the makings of music -rhythm, timing, memory, and emotions to compose her verse, in tune with the flow of life in Italy. "The Power of the Songbird" is the sequel to "A Song of Love". Both novellas exalt the ardor, the subversive danger, and the beauty in the lives of the Sicilian protagonists.
