The aim of this study is to analyse the behaviour of young people and teenagers in their effective participation in high school Physical Education classes in public schools in the city of Pato Branco-PR, checking whether the activities developed in class contribute to the construction of knowledge committed to quality of life. The attempt was to analyse why students feel unmotivated, discriminated against and lack the determination to participate effectively in high school physical education classes, given that the subject of physical education makes it possible, perhaps more than any other, to make significant changes to the way the teaching-learning process is planned. When we studied the theoretical framework that underpins this analysis, we carried out a descriptive quantitative study, using as our population high school students from two state schools in the municipality of Pato Branco.
