The marriage between media and education results in a practice that encourages children to recognise their own reality, thus enabling them to become authors of their own destiny and providing a basis for building their citizenship. This book presents a theoretical study and practical application with the development of print newspaper workshops taught to third-grade children at the Vicente Liberato Municipal School in Munhoz de Mello, Paraná, resulting in the production of a play. The project shows that community participation in the educational process can change children's perspectives on education, as well as stimulate creativity, teamwork, and a sense of belonging.
