QUEENSLAND is San Francisco's most unique nightclub. Described as "a place for transgenders and those who admire them," it attracts drag queens, occasional crossdressers, and transgender girls, some of whom are "working girls," who prowl the club in a constant search for "dates" among the male customers. But the club is also a local hangout for an eclectic mix of gay and straight men and women who simply gather for drinks and friendship. Among the "working girls" is a stunningly beautiful Latina transgirl named Aurora, who finds herself innocently drawn into a web of political deceit and corruption, and when she tries to escape it with the only man who has ever truly loved her, the result can only be tragedy . . . THE QUEENSLAND CONNECTION is an exciting and thrilling adventure through the sexual underworld of San Francisco, written by an author who lived in it for over 20 years.
Richard Titus was born and raised near San Francisco, California. After completing a theater degree from UC Berkeley, he received a law degree from Santa Clara University, and worked for many years as a trial attorney for a large law firm in Santa Clara County. During that time, he also appeared in many community theater productions throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. He eventually began working as a drag performer and bartender at several clubs in San Francisco, and finally produced his own show, Fauxgirls, which ran in several clubs in San Francisco for almost 20 years. After retiring from both his law career and Fauxgirls, he moved to Key West, Florida, where he now performs in drag as "Victoria Secret" at the world-famous 801 Cabaret.
