Prior to her suicide in the summer of 2013, Kathleene West left instructions to her literary executor Kitty McCord and to her long-time poetry editor to care for her writing. Autorenporträt
KATHLEENE WEST was born and raised on a small Nebraska farm and taught as a professor of English and creative writing at New Mexico State University. She committed suicide in 2013, eerily mirroring her poetic peers, Sexton and Plath. MARK SANDERS is editor and publisher of Sandhills Press, which published a number of Kathleene West's poetry collections. At his encouragement, she began submitting her work for publication a few years prior to her death; this encouragement led to the publication of Tourists of the Revolution, also published by Stephen F. Austin State University.
