Monsieur Lamine Keita est Docteur en Sciences Economiques, Ingénieur Statisticien Économiste de l'ENSAE-CESD-PARIS, auteur d'une douzaine de livres d'économie. Il a travaillé dans cette école à la formation des Ingénieurs Statisticiens, puis à l'Ecole Nationale d'Economie Appliquée de Dakar, ensuite à la Présidence de la République du Mali.
