My book is about demonstrating the relationship between Mozart's operas and his piano concertos using three examples: Le nozze di Figaro K. 492 - Piano Concerto in G major K. 453; Don Giovanni K. 527 - Piano Concerto in D minor K. 466; Così fan tutte K. 588 - Piano Concerto in C major K. 503. The two genres play an important role in Mozart's music. In order to illustrate the relationship, I will compare the works mentioned. In my analysis, I will describe the characters, the moods and the musical and dramaturgical elements of the works. I will also examine the role of virtuosity, rhythm and melody. What Mozart focuses on in his composition is how he can express human feelings in music. With my analysis, I would like to show a picture of how closely two different genres are connected and what they have in common.
Autorenporträt
I am currently studying piano at the Mozarteum University Salzburg and also teach piano at a music school. Both playing concerts and teaching piano are my passion. I am grateful that I have the opportunity to do both. My goal is to express emotions through music and to give an experience.
