Sometimes we have an idea that there is a home, a place that will be perfect for us. We have a longing for this place where family is so deep we live it in our dreams. It defies clock time and hovers in a mysterious realm where all of time exists. It is vast and spiritual, and our every fiber knows that we are home. Sometimes we have an idea that there is a home, a place that will be perfect for us. We have a longing for this place where family is so deep we live it in our dreams. It defies clock time and hovers in a mysterious realm where all of time exists. It is vast and spiritual, and our every fiber knows that we are home. We imagine this place exists somewhere in our concrete world. But it doesn't. It's always tucked away, hidden between our hearts and our brains, our experiences and our hopes. --from The Rise of Jordan The Rise of Jordan is the second installment in The Yoga Teacher trilogy. The Yoga Teacher leaves us with two newborns, Telaya Mathews and Jordan Li, daughters of Sharina and Chana. As the girls grow, they become sisters within a special lineage of Abenaki and Asian descent. They have abilities so powerful that wealthy forces, both private and governmental, fear them. As a teen, Jordan allows herself to be captured and locked up at the Northfield Detention Center just over the Canadian border. Telaya's journey to help accomplish her sister's plan weaves together their family of loved ones as well as outsiders. Telaya's determination to reach her sister is further challenged by the diminished signal that naturally transmits between them. Follow these young women as their exploits lead us to a new understanding of energy.
