Growing up with a curiosity that often led her into unexpected adventures, Gap Rose has always been drawn to the unpredictable. At fifteen, she spent a year in Australia, an experience that sparked a love of travel, serendipitous encounters, and the kind of stories that only seem believable when they¿re lived. "The Risk We Take" is inspired by her own experiences, including a backpacking trip through Australia with her best friend in 2022 - though she¿ll leave it to readers to guess how much of it actually happened. Now living in Dresden, where she moved to study Languages and Literature, Gap Rose divides her time between capturing the world through her camera lens, baking elaborate (or occasionally questionable) treats and disappearing into books, movies, and TV shows like a professional explorer of imaginary worlds.
