Chris Porcas is a North Kent-based Poet by night and Timber Merchant by day. >Chris started writing Poetry as recently as October 2023 after a chance meeting in a Gravesend bar on a Live music night and was invited to come and observe a monthly Poetry reading club there (The Mole Hole) on a Sunday evening. He went, watched, loved it and started writing his own. He has since read his self-penned Poetry at many venues including in front of 200 of his fellow Timber Traders at The Royal Horseguards Hotel in London and at The Space, a Speakeasy cabaret and dance venue in Margate. He also regularly supports - and appears at - Hypermedia at The Fourth Portal, St Andrews Arts Centre in Gravesend and Big Trouble at Rams/12 Degrees bar in Rochester. At the time of writing, Chris is also part of a Peaky Blinders re-enactment group that performs authentic-costume gigs in the North Kent area. As part of the act, Chris reads a bespoke 'Peaky Poem' after the group does their walk-in to the venue.
