A new classic series that goes beyond simple storytelling. Stories of the Saints keeps the profound lessons of faith, courage, and compassion taught by these holy figures alive, in an engaging, age-appropriate, and accessible format. This book is all about Saint María Guadalupe García Zavala, the Saint who Served the Poor. She is the patron saint of The Handmaids of Saint Margaret Mary and the Poor, and the patron saint of nurses. This vibrant and encouraging book tells the story of Saint María's life and how she ended up starting a new religious order, known as The Handmaids. By retelling the classic life stories of the saints and sharing their miraculous deeds in an engaging and accessible way, we keep their stories alive, inspire others on their faith journeys, and connect with a spiritual tradition that has guided believers for centuries. The stunning illustrations will capture and enthral young minds whilst teaching important values and virtues. To mark the importance of each title and the lessons learnt, there is a prayer at the end of the book.
Erica Tapp is passionate about storytelling and Bible teaching. She has spent many years on staff in schools and at large churches in central London and St Albans. The focus of her church work was helping children and young people to read, understand, and love the Bible. She now has three young children of her own to read to, and is active in children's work in her local community. Giovana Medeiros was born in Criciuma, Brazil. She graduated in Fashion Design, but later pursued her dream and studied Illustration. She worked for several years creating print designs for apparel, but since 2011 has been dedicating herself to becoming a full time illustrator. Although her work is mostly focused on the children's universe, it has also been applied to different mediums such as books, magazines, textiles, games, and apps.
