Once at home with his gran, out of the school grounds, away from his tormentors, John covers up the story of how his glasses were broken. His gran says she will get them fixed, but John puts them on his bedside table instead. During the night, needing a glass of milk, John fumbles for his glasses, forgetting that they had been damaged the previous day. And then, as he lifts them up to put them on his face, the most remarkable thing happens. They begin to GLOW! John encounters Gismoh, a supernatural being who whisks him away to the Unseen Realm. Together they have many adventures as John is challenged to discover the Secret of Arnion. It is in the Unseen Realm that John trains to be a warrior as he faces the diabolical dragon, Abaddon. John's journey becomes a life-and-death race against time, and the stakes couldn't be higher.

Beverley Brett was born in South Africa and has lived in Australia for the past 23 years. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Higher Diploma in Education and has thoroughly enjoyed teaching mostly English and Drama to students from Prep to Twelve for the past 49 years. Her passion for writing began when she was five and since then she has written, directed and produced countless plays for children and teenagers.Beverley received the highest merit award for teaching in South Africa and has had several nominations for Teacher of the Year in Australia. The Secret of Arnion has been a twenty-five-year faith journey, beginning in South Africa and finally arriving in print in Australia. Beverley lives in Cairns, Far North Queensland, on the Great Barrier Reef with her graphic designer husband Greg. They have two grown-up children and two grandchildren.
