The Seekers A dark, unforgettable fantasy of magic, myth, and sisterhood. As the veil thins between worlds, shadows bleed through the trees of Collin Dubh. Caití and Róise are drawn toward the darkness like moths to a dying flame, unaware that something ancient and hungry waits beyond the light. Hunted by Anrud, an immortal witch who feeds on souls, the sisters must navigate a realm of forgotten magic, strange creatures, and dangerous alliances. Bound by a prophecy, they must find the only weapon capable of defeating her; a sword forged in courage, sacrifice, and the bonds of sisterhood. The greatest danger may not be the darkness outside... but the one growing within. For fans of The Cruel Prince, Fourth Wing, Children of Anguish and Anarchy, and The Chronicles of Narnia, The Seekers is a breathtaking tale of courage, magic, and family.
Autorenporträt
Colin O'Neill is the author of The Seekers, a richly imagined Irish fantasy quest steeped in magic and myth. His debut novel introduces readers to the Kingdom of Collin Dubh, a world inspired by the landscapes, folklore, and atmosphere of Colin Glen Forest Park in Belfast, where he has worked for 15 years with the Colin Glen Trust. The forest's woodland, hidden trails, and whispered stories of the past sparked the central idea that became The Seekers, a tale of courage, friendship, and the enduring power of myth.Colin has been writing stories for as long as he can remember. From childhood, he was drawn to creating new worlds and exploring the big questions of loyalty, destiny, and belonging through narrative. That love of storytelling grew alongside a passion for Irish literature and theatre. Over more than three decades working in marketing, tourism, and the arts with organisations including Visit Belfast, the Grand Opera House, and the Odyssey Arena. Colin was immersed in the words and ideas of writers who left a lasting impression on him: Oscar Wilde, Samuel Beckett, and contemporary playwrights such as Martin Lynch, Marie Jones, and Richard Dormer. Their wit, imagination, and insight into the human condition continue to shape his own voice as a writer.
