Autorenporträt
Dr. Gary W. Garrett Dr. Gary W. Garrett has dedicated his life to preserving the rich heritage of the Apostolic Faith movement. In 1999, he founded Apostolic Archives International, Inc., an esteemed institution committed to safeguarding and celebrating Apostolic history. Under his leadership, the Apostolic Heritage Center-headquartered in Joplin, Missouri-houses a historical library, research center, Heritage Museum, and the Apostolic Ministerial Hall of Fame. Through these initiatives, Dr. Garrett has ensured that the legacy of the movement remains accessible and honored. Dr. Garrett holds multiple degrees in higher education, including a Doctor of Philosophy with a specialization in church history. His lifelong contributions to Apostolic scholarship earned him the prestigious Apostolic Apologist Award in 2003, along with recognition as a 21st-century Apostolic father. A prolific author, he has penned numerous works, including ministerial biographies, and historical studies that document the faith's enduring legacy. Mentored by the late Bishop M.E. Golder, and shaped by the spiritual guidance of his father, the late Bishop W.J. Garrett, Dr. Garrett remains steadfast in his mission to preserve the contributions of Apostolic pioneers. This book is a testament to that commitment-The "Silent Years of Pentecost" is a documentation of the timeline of events that shaped the landscape of Christianity at the turn of the 20th century. Five years before the Azusa Street revival began, the Pentecostal message was being propagated throughout much of the United States, giving foundational roots to the fastest growing evangelical movement of our times!
