His technical training and subsequent higher education prepared him for a life shaped by exploration, adventure, intellect, and humanity.Over the years, Martin lived and worked across four continents, embracing the role of a global citizen before settling in Australia in 1981 with his Finnish wife and their six children. It was only in retirement that he returned to writing, demonstrating that it is never too late to embark on something new.To date, Martin has published 24 books worldwide, spanning a wide range of genres: politics, novels, travel stories, biography, practical philosophy, children's literature, and lyric poetry-written in both English and German.
