Shireen Anne Jeejeebhoy is an award-winning author, novelist, biographer, brain injury advocate, and visual artist.Shireen's first book, Lifeliner: The Judy Taylor Story (2007), won Reader Views Reviewers Choice Best Biography about a patient and her pioneering doctor whose ground-breaking work made it possible to live without eating. A Canadian innovation, the artificial life support TPN saves tens of thousands of lives every year around the globe.She, Shireen's first novel, was a finalist for the 2012 The Word Award, Novel - Futuristic Category; her time travel novel Time and Space won the Literary Titan Gold Book Award; her memoir Concussion Is Brain Injury: Treating the Neurons and Me (2017) was short-listed for 2018 The Word Awards and garnered an invitation to blog on Psychology Today. She followed up with her self-help book Brain Injury, Trauma, and Grief: How to Heal When You Are Alone, short-listed for 2023 The Word Awards for General Market Non-Fiction and for Writer of Colour, and developed a website on brain injury diagnosis and effective neurostimulation and neuromodulation therapies to restore health and fulfil potential.
