Autorenporträt
Before I wrote novels, I spent 30 years working as an exploration geologist, managing projects on the ground, and doing due diligence in over thirty countries. During this time, I collected the tall tales and real-life experiences which inspired the Sam Harris Adventure Series, chronicling the adventures of a female geologist as a pioneer in a hitherto exclusively male world. Then, my childhood in Ireland inspired me to write the Green Family Saga (as Kate Foley), which follows the fortunes of an English family who move to Ireland before the start of the troubles.I moved to the south coast of England before the Covid pandemic. After finishing my Irish trilogy, I was inspired to write a mystery on Mars, Mortal Mission, inspired by the landing of the Mars Rover. It is a science-based murder mystery, think "The Martian" with fewer potatoes and more bodies.Having thoroughly enjoyed writing my first mystery, I decided to write a whole series. As I am not a fan of graphic violence or sex, it was inevitable I should be a Cosy Mystery writer. I have always been a massive fan of crime and mystery and I guess it was inevitable I would turn my hand to this genre eventually. And so the Seacastle Mysteries were born.
