A shapeshifting dream-diary and metaphysical thriller, The Swarm is inspired by the histories of dissident uprisings and migrational routes of Budapest; the geological depths of the hot springs, and the meandering flow of the Danube River. A polyphonic hum resounds in an octagonal domed chamber of a 16th century Ottoman Bath, becoming an eerie portal across time and space, summoning the overlooked histories of the Ottoman period, and the dissident-anarcho groups from the Pale of Settlement and Hapsburg years. The Swarm circles around sundry anomalous and dead beings who plot a way out of Hungarian fascist rule in the thermal baths of Budapest, where sensorial, sexual and revolutionary impulses are aligned for the purpose for anarcho-transcendent-communal escape.
