Autorenporträt
My name is James Fischer and I was born in 1995. I've been passionate about storytelling since childhood, inspired by the thrillers and fantasy novels I devoured in my early years. While I don't weave fantasy into my own writing, I do explore contrast-whether in personality dynamics or shifting mental states-a theme that plays a central role in The Tax Man. My background in English Language and Literature, alongside my fascination with psychoanalysis and philosophy, shaped my approach to storytelling. While academic frameworks taught me structure, I wanted to preserve the essence of literature, blending personal insights with the themes that intrigue me most. In my time as a trainee accountant, I witnessed the chaotic world of bureaucracy firsthand-an experience that fueled the creation of Carter, a character who blurs the lines between psychopathy and bureaucracy. If you enjoy dark psychological thrillers with deep character explorations, I'd love to hear your thoughts! Leave a review and let me know how The Tax Man made you feel. Also do stay tuned for my upcoming books for some more mind-bending journeys into human nature.
