Marian K Riedy is an attorney, professor emeritus, swimming instructor, and the author of two previous legal thrillers, Fatal Accusation and Surprise Witness. Kim Sperduto is a litigator with decades of experience representing Washington, D.C.'s usual denizens. The two have worked together in the legal arena for over twenty years. Both are avid golfers with Marian also pursuing Tai Chi, Tae Kwon Do, swimming, and jogging. She has run the Boston Marathon, hiked in the Himalayas, swum in Lake Geneva, and has master's points in bridge. Kim loves baseball, bourbon, the blues, and fly-fishing. Both authors were born in Kansas but lived most of their lives elsewhere.
