Sipel Taha is a Kurdish-Austrian author with a focus on literary explorations of culture, memory, and gender roles. In her short story collection "Geschichten abseits der Sonne" ("Stories Beyond the Sun"), published in 2023, she addresses themes such as hope, loss, and inner strength. With "The Tomb of Spring: A Testimony from Halabja", she sheds light on the chemical attack on Halabja from the perspective of a young child.
