"I've been a big fan of Bone Island Maggie - that toothless septuagenarian who rides around the 2-by-4 island of Key West on her trike, picking up gossip and solving crimes - since her first book. Now with book three, Maggie, her roommate Carolyn, and pal Homer are still at it, stronger than ever, as they look into a newly arrived doctor and uncover a serial killer." -Shirrel Rhoades, former publisher, Readers Digest Books Ace reporter Mandy Miles and peerless photographer Rob O'Neil are standing with the crowd still gathering on the dock across the street from the Key West Police Department, after witnessing the distant shootout on the boat of the bizarre and phony Dr. Alexander Franklin Tobin. All of a sudden they wonder if their eyes are deceiving them, as another person besides the phony doctor is being led off the boat in handcuffs by Chief Lenny Doan. Nearly every local on the island knows this person. It is Maggie Metronia! What on earth is that about? Did Bone Island Maggie, wannabe sleuth, decide to change sides and help the phony doctor in his criminal pursuits? It certainly looked like it from where Mandy and Rob were standing.
