When "Love" becomes "Lunch," choir practice hits a high note-and total chaos. Mia Reyes was just trying to survive another day in choir when her prank-loving friend Chip rewrote the lyrics... with help from auto-correct. Soon the entire class is serenading sandwiches and declaring their devotion to fettuccine Alfredo. But when the school projector starts singing on its own-and glitching with creepy messages-Mia and Chip realize they aren't the only mischief-makers in school. Enter Kira Jackson. Silent. Brilliant. Sneaky. Together, the trio forms the Harmless Mischief Club, dedicated to creative chaos with a purpose. But things spiral when mysterious rivals, a prank legacy hidden in the janitor's closet, and a looming school inspection put everything they've built at risk.
About the Author E. J. Rohly grew up on a farm in rural Ohio, where her imagination had plenty of room to run wild. As a kid, she loved making up stories-especially when she babysat and could share her tales with the kids she watched. Sometimes, she even let them produce their own endings! Making up stories is still one of her favorite things to do. Esther went to school to learn more about teaching kids, and she became a preschool teacher, where she has spent years creating fun ways for little ones to learn and grow. As her family grew, she took literature classes to get better at writing, hoping to author her own books. Now, she is a member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI) and continues to learn new things through writing classes. Today, she is busy writing mysteries and adventures to spark imagination, just like her own love of stories sparked years ago on her family's farm.
