The purpose of this study is a theoretical and practical justification for the use of artificial intelligence in self-study. The task of this study was a systematic review of existing literature on the topic of the Use of artificial intelligence in educational institutions, a study of the current state of the use of artificial intelligence in self-study, conducting a SWOT analysis on the topic of the study and suggesting effective methods for using artificial intelligence in self-study. Thus, the research question is How to manage the AI based process of self-directed learning? The study will conduct a systemic analysis of the literature, a mixed analysis using both quantitative and qualitative methods to assess the effectiveness of this strategy. The leading ideas of the study are the possibility of transforming studying into learning. The results of the study prove the possibility of this change using the proposed technologies.
