Today, the Democratic Republic of Congo is a victim of corruption that is hampering its sustainable development through a combination of institutional weaknesses, low ethical standards, distorted incentives and inadequate law enforcement. Theacts of corruption generate illicit advantages for one person or a small group, enabling them to circumvent rules designed to ensure impartiality and efficiency. This leads to unfair, inefficient and wasteful results. The small group that breaks the rules receives illicit rewards at the expense of the Sovereign Congolese People as a whole. This situation is too embarrassing to contemplate, and cannot be allowed to continue, because there are solutions to combat the venom of corruption and drive it out of our dear, beautiful country. My present book attempts to propose some anti-corruption solutions and is dedicated to our Mother Country, the Democratic Republic of Congo.
