In a city where every truth has a password, faith and finance have become one and the same. When investigative journalist Thomas Hale receives an anonymous message that reads "Look under the wiper," he has no idea it will lead him into the shadowed intersection of religion, money, and political power. Hidden beneath London's churches, charities, and government offices lies a covert financial network known only as The Viper Ledger-a system that moves millions through untraceable transactions disguised as acts of compassion. Donations become commands. Faith becomes currency. Joined by the relentless Detective Inspector Mara Kellan, Hale follows a trail of encrypted ledgers, burned servers, and silenced witnesses. At the center of the conspiracy is Project Sacristy: a digital confessional designed to cleanse dirty money through the language of belief. But the deeper they dig, the more the system fights back. Files erase themselves. Identities are rewritten. Truth becomes unstable. As London closes in around them, Hale and Kellan must make an impossible choice: protect a truth that can be proven-or preserve one that can survive deletion. The Viper Ledger is a tense, atmospheric conspiracy thriller set in modern London, where power hides behind institutions, corruption wears the mask of devotion, and salvation is always transactional. Trust expires. Truth is negotiable. And every ledger has a price.
