The Wall, It Fell begins at the Brandenburg Gate in 1987 as Ronald Reagan calls on Mister Gorbatshov to tear down that Wall. On that day Bill Greenstone, an Englishman living in Berlin, is nearly destroyed by personal tragedy. A tsunami of events threatens to overwhelm him and his family as the stones in the Berlin Wall loosen and then suddenly crumble. We meet Siggi, Bill's wayward loving wife, we meet their son, Marcus, and Bill's overbearing father-in-law, Director Dornbusch, who once shook the hand of Albert Speer. We meet the concept artist, Peter, who steals paving-stones, Hanna, who writes songs and is severely disturbed, Frau Marquardt, who cannot remember where she lives, and Uta Schmidtbauer, who with a doctorate and habilitation in Marxism-Leninism applies to work as Bill's cleaning lady. And we are provided with a unique insight into the events surrounding The Wall and Its Fall.
