This paper aims to analyse the representation of the American conflicts relating to the War on Terror in Afghanistan and Iraq in the 21st century from the Marvel Cinematic Universe film 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier', directed by the Russo brothers. For this analysis, the narrative of the film itself was used. On the other, the most representative speeches on the War on Terror made by George W. Bush during his administration between 2000 and 2009. These were selected from his speeches to the media and the US Congress.
