Life is a process, and the Lord meets us where we are. Jayda Lee Wilson strives to be obedient to the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Her life has been full and has now entered a new stage. Once a life of volunteering on a sundry of committees, twenty years of teaching Sunday School, leading Girl Scouts, and small group Bible Studies, as well as being a caregiver made for a busy life. Yet it all prepared her, for her next journey with the Lord. Now that life has become simpler, more quality time has been devoted to the Lord. Being less preoccupied allowed for the ability to hear and be guided by the Holy Spirit. That leading directed the writings of devotions for a women's group which prepared her for what the Lord had in mind. God revealed dreams that relayed into stories that He wanted told. Her first published book, "The Jump" was a powerful experience with the Holy Spirit. It's beautiful to see how God places things in her path to incorporate in the storyline. A scripture laying open, a quote from reading an article, a sermon spoken, a song played on the radio, it's all from Him, and yet the story begins with a dream. There is great delight in watching each story develop as the Holy Spirit reveals the characters on each new page. Uncover the truths tucked away in a storyline and drawing near to the Lord is all one could ask. You just must be willing to spend the time with Him, to recognize His voice and hear what He is saying. Have we not been told to, "Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth (Psalm 46:10 NIV)." Jayda has raised her children and now enjoys time with her grandchildren, husband, and friends. She is inspired by the Word and finds joy in helping others just as God commanded in John 13:34 (NASB), "A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another."
