Dragons were the ultimate force in the realm, and they reigned for untold centuries. Dracos conquered civilizations and destroyed others. They hunted with impunity. They inflicted terror on whole armies of men. Their fires could engulf hundreds of soldiers in mere seconds. Some dragons were so fearsome that they could enthrall kings and their armies and unleash them on neighboring peoples. The last dragons of the Dracos Dominion were slain nearly five hundred years ago by men and elves. The survivors in the northern lands of the realm resettled into townships under the fledgling rule of the militarized Dorian Republic. The great and enduring city-state of Nordeheim also endured many years of reconstruction. Now, a new enemy threatens the realm, a dark power, lurking and gaining strength in a remote forest in the northlands. The regimes of the land are ignorant of this evil and of their impending danger. Only a band of men and women, brought together through happenstance and deception, can warn and defend the nobility and the commonfolk of both states. To succeed, they must brave the perils of an ancient forest, overcome the schemes of dark wizards, centuries old, and face a monstrous, yet shadowy, horde before it consumes all the northlands and the rest of the realm.
Jason grew up in North Carolina with a love for fantasy realms, and the power of imagination. He studied at the University of Tennessee and graduated with a business major in logistics and transportation. Jason has built a life with Angel in Nashville, TN. Together, they are raising two daughters, his greatest joy and proudest accomplishments. He credits his family as the heart of his world and his deepest source of inspiration. When Jason isn't writing, he enjoys Italian food, card games, and watching football. He tries to enjoy the small things in life when the world around him tends to smell of poop. For him, creativity is a way of staying forever youthful-living with the same sense of wonder he first discovered as a child.
