Autorenporträt
Born in 1975 in Konya, the writer came into the world as the son of his teacher parents. Following his graduation from the Turkish Language and Literature Department of the Faculty of Letters, Ege University, he started his teaching career in Istanbul. Having begun his writing process with a literary magazine called Düş ve Düşünce (Dream and Thought) he and a group of his friends published, until now the writer's short stories and reviews appeared in publications such as Varlık, Yeni e, Son Gemi, Ekin San at, Galapera Öykü fanzin, Temrin, Acemi, BroyEski, Edebiyatist, Kahverenkli, Yalnızlar Mektebi, Tetkik Dergi, Poesis Edebiyat, Papirus, Yıldız Tozu, Beşinci Sanat, Almanyalılar.net, İz Gazete. Some of his short stories were included in the following anthologies: "Kurmacalar Atlası (An Atlas of Fictions)", "Lilith Öyküleri (Short Stories of Lilith)", "Son Gemi (The Last Boat)", "Bir Kaşık Sütlaç (One Spoon of Rice Pudding), Bir Nefes Tarçın (One Breath of Cinnamon)." The writer published his own short story books entitled as follows: Söz Dağının Ardındakiler (The Ones Behind the Word Mountains), Suya Gazel (Ode to the Water), Hep Uzak (Always Far Away), Dehlizler ve Rüyalar (Passages and Dreams), Sınırlar Kapalı (Borders are Closed). His other prose works consist of two novels of Murat Ka'nın Çoğul Tarihi (Plural History of Murat Ka), Tragedyayı Oynarken (While Playing the Tragedy); one children novel of Kuduruk'un Orman Düşleri (Forest Dreams of the Mad); and a review/essay book of Kurmacanın Yolculuğu (The Travel of the Fiction). While keeping on writing regularly in the newspaper called İz Gazete, the writer keeps on his journey of writing as the founder and coordinator of a short story and fiction platform named +edebiyatkolektifi (+literarycollective). His short story book called Cennet Meselleri (Insanity Parables), and his book called Yazının Yol Haritaları (The Road Maps of the Writing) containing his essays on literature and arts were published in 2024 by Mimas Publishing. He continuously presents a culture-art program on Haberler.com YouTube channel alongside with Mesut ŞENOL.
