Even with an excellent defense lawyer, the prosecutors feel they cannot lose, so strong is the evidence they have. The newspapers have a conviction determined even before the trial begins. And still, the windfall sits, hidden from view, unused and is a curse to our hero's existence. The criminals, who actually lay claim to the money, are after it and after him, through his wife and even his children. He wants to protect his family, but in doing so finds only more trouble. The exciting finale will thrill and please the reader. The novel will bring to mind, the difference between good and evil, and whether a person, so genuinely evil, deserves to live.
Autorenporträt
Gene Ligotti was educated at Adelphi University and received his doctorate, as a dental surgeon, from New York University. He and his wife, Corbina, live in East Northport, NY and have two daughters, and three grandchildren. Inflicted with Rheumatoid Arthritis, he gave up his successful practice of dentistry. He began writing as something to do, but it soon became a driving force. He is an American history buff and has given lectures about the impact the Revolution had on Long Island.
Ligotti soon began writing suspense thrillers and is his special passion. Each suspense thriller has a love story as a sub plot, adding to the narrative and satisfies readers of that genre.
