Cornelia Meigs was an American writer of children's fiction and nonfiction. Kirkus Reviews called her "one of the best-loved authors of fiction for boys and girls." Some of her more notable works include her Louisa May Alcott biography and Newbery Medal winner, Invincible Louisa (1933), and three Newbery Honor award winners: Windy Hill (1922), Clearing Weather (1928), and Swift Rivers (1933).
