Mathilde Pineau-Valencienne was born in Paris and raised in both Paris and London. After having lived in Portland, USA for one year as a French Language Assistant at Uni, she taught French as a Foreign Language to Americans on her return to Paris before starting a career in publishing. She is un-admittedly a huge fan of the Emily in Paris Netflix series and a connoisseur of Parisian culture and history, having written The Little Book of Paris, published by Welbeck in 2022.
