ROBIN HIGHAM is Professor Emeritus of Military History at Kansas State University. He is the author of more than 140 articles and 14 monographs and editor of some 30 bibliographical volumes. He has also been editor of the periodicals Military Affairs and Aerospace Historian and is currently editor of the Journal of the West.
